Fasting makes my hunger signals non existent. Still cant lose weight because of an underactive thyroid, but the side effects of the new "wonder drug"...nope, losing the last 10 pounds or so to get under 200 pounds isnt worth lifelong complications.

If it’s only about losing weight, then yeah calories in calories out. If it’s about health and entire body’s well being, then 100 cal of protein trumps 100 cal of sugar.

It’s still baffling to me how many women deny this and how they keep pushing even though they see it’s detrimental. I know this woman who is the poster child for the “empowered modern woman”. She’s in her 40s, boss girl, has “held it down on her own” (ie shes a functioning adult), subscribes to feminist ideas, and is still unsuprisingly single. Me and her had an encounter over a decade ago (I’m 11 years younger than her) and I would’ve thought that after a decade she would’ve wised up. Turns out she still has never been married or had kids, yet she keeps saying how she doesn’t need a man and how men are a disappointment, yet under the same breath says she wants to be a wife and maybe a mother. Part of me is tempted to tell her the hard truth but it will fall on deaf ears. Crazy thing is that she is still decently attractive but due to her feminist beliefs and her disagreeable nature, I highly doubt she will get the man she wants. In the decade since I last saw her I got into two long relationships and also got married, meanwhile she’s still figuring out how she can find someone. She’s far from alone but you can’t tell women anything today
